March for the Ocean is about the survival of our blue planet. But it’s also about the fact that it’s not too late to turn the tide - restore and protect what we love.
On Saturday, June 9, 2018, we will march/walk from Tagbilaran City to Alona Beach, Panglao, Bohol to celebrate World Oceans Day. We will march for the Ocean to say NO to plastic and other forms of Ocean pollution; YES to Corporate Accountability for plastic pollution; YES to banning of single use plastics; YES to protecting our coastal communities; and YES to a Healthy Ocean and Clean Water for All.
Assembly area will be at Plaza Rizal, Tagbilaran City at 5:30AM, the march/walk will start at 6:00AM. There will be an awareness talk when we reach Alona Beach, and a beach clean up at 3:00PM (and maybe a sunset acoustic jams after). More details to follow. :)
Please eat breakfast before going to the assembly area, bring drinking water in a reusable water bottle, extra t-shirt, wear a reef safe sunscreen and a hat. This is a plastic-free event, therefore, single use plastics are NOT allowed. ;)
Join one of many simultaneous marches, and water celebrations around the world, and wear blue for the Ocean! :)
